Hurricane Fiona Emergency Relief Efforts
On September 18, 2022, Hurricane Fiona hit the island of Puerto Rico causing historic floodings and widespread destruction, which led to island-wide power outages, limited access to running water and a significant number of people displaced from their homes. Almost exactly five years after the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria, the Island is once again tasked to recover from a stressful and traumatic natural disaster that has damaged or destroyed property and interrupted people’s lives and their ability to provide for themselves and their families. Albizu University is once again committed and ready to take care of our people’s needs by providing mental health relief efforts to the vulnerable communities we serve across the Island, our students and our employees.
Please donate today to help us provide the necessary mental health services and resources needed by our communities to help them deal with the immediate and long-term effects of this devastating event.
